Opening Hours

Our Hostel is open between 8 am – 12 am an 4pm – 8pm Monday through Sunday. Nevertheless once you have already checked in and got your key card, you have full access to the house with it 24 hours a day, so you are basically independent of our opening hours.

The common areas and our kitchen are at your disposal around the clock.

Check-In

Normally the rooms are ready for check in by no later than 4 pm and you can check in until 8 pm. A late Check-In after 8pm is only possible after prior consultation with us.

Check-Out

On the departure day You have to leave Your room by 11 am. Please remove the bed linen and hand it in at the reception. Do not forget to take your belongings out of the locker.

A longer temporary storage of your luggage is of course possible.

Our reception is available for you:
daily from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. and 4p.m. to 8 p.m.

Location

The Bunk Hostel is only a stone`s throw away form the Main Railway Station, where you have the best public transportation connection to any possible location in Essen or any other city nearby. Our hostel is located very close to the A40 highway. The exhibition center Messe Essen is only about 3 km away as well. Within walking distance you can reach downtown Essen if You want to shop or the ‘Rüttenscheid’ bar district if You want to have a nice meal or a drink.

The Bunk Hostel is only a stone’s throw away from Essen Central Station, from where you have the best public transport connections to any location in Essen or the neighboring cities. Our property is also close to the motorway A40. The exhibition center is only 3km away from us. You can walk to the city center for shopping or the Rüttenscheid pub district in Essen in just a few minutes.

We need valid credit card details as a guarantee for online reservations. We only charge a booking fee of EUR 1.50 in advance.

Please note that cash payments are not possible on site.
We only accept card payments.

Check-out: until 11 a.m.
* Check-in after 8 p.m. is only possible by prior arrangement.

For group bookings (more than 8 people) please contact us directly.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE

Cancellation and changes to the reservation are allowed up to 48 hours before arrival at no cost. This is always possible online at thebunkhostel.bookworldhostels.com.

Please note our cancellation policy:
In the event of no-show, late cancellation or arrival outside of the check-in times without prior agreement with us, we will charge the price for one night as a cancellation fee.
